Prior to joining Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty in 2007, Barkley had nine years of technical experience as a structural engineer, working on high-end residential and commercial projects throughout the Yampa Valley. He has an in-depth understanding of building design and development.

A dedicated athlete, Barkley was a member of the U.S. Ski Team for moguls and then became an accomplished pro-level cyclist. This drive and dedication carry over into his real estate business.

Barkley is a fifth-generation Colorado native, an engineering graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Steamboat Springs resident since 1998. The family-oriented nature of Steamboat is unique and special, and Barkley and his wife, Megan, are grateful for the opportunity to raise their three children here.
